Product Overview:
- Connects directly to your tractors 3 point hitch system and is equipped with a large 24’’ diameter solid steel grinding flywheel and 34 tungsten carbide cutting teeth to make the removal of tree stumps a breeze!
- These extremely rugged stump grinders are engineered to deliver optimal performance when paired with tractors containing 15-45HP at the PTO and will easily grind up to 6’’ below the ground to remove roots and prepare the ground for grading or grass.
- Designed to work on tractors with a PTO shaft. The stump grinder works best on tractors featuring PTO shafts that are independent of the tractors transmission drive system. This allows the operator to control the speed of the tractor independently and separately to the PTO speed.
- Since the tractor pulls the grinder through the stump, the rate at which the tractor moves is important and should be independent of the PTO shaft.
- PTO stump grinder with 34 teeth installed, plus 4 spare teeth included.
- NOTE: Strongly Recommended for Hydrostatic Tractors.

After considerable research my son and I decided to take a chance on this grinder. It shipped fast, came well packaged and virtually ready to use. Minimal assembly was needed, and the extra wrenches were a great addition. We did have to shorten the shaft using a band saw to make a nice, clean cut. After that it was easy to attach to the tractor. We have eliminated close to 12 stumps and it rocks. All good and I might add the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Still need to set up a backup camera which we will do this week, and it should really help. So overall, absolutely no complaints.

Fits on my Massey Ferguson gc 2300 perfect. Did an old 36” oak stump for a shed pad in about 15 minutes. Also it only took a week to get after ordering!
Jim Jurmu –
Great Product! Matches well with my BX2380. Makes quick work of the pine stumps I have on my property.
Gary Alligood –
Ordered mine 4/2/25 – arrived 4/23/25.
Impressed with it. Heavy duty and well made. Today did 7 stumps in about 2 hours. Directions say start with small one, but I found big pine tree stumps allowed me to get the hang of it. So far so good.

Impressed with the grinder. Communication and shipping were great too.
Carlen –
Very happy with customer service they reached out and answered my questions promptly. I ordered the stump grinder can’t wait to receive it.
Brian Holbrook –
Well built. Works as expected with my Mahindra 1533. Nice suprise that it comes with a complete set of tools to keep on the unit

Works great!

Purchased to use on a Mahindra 1533H tractor. Selected based on value and intend to use on 10+ acres of wooded land. Lowest cost PTO grinder on the market by $500-1k
Timely delivery. Securely packaged in an iron crate. If you do not have a lift gate service make sure your forks can adjust inward for a narrow pallet.
Assembly is clear with fair instructions. The manual box contains a full set of tools for all fasteners on the unit. Also has a chain saw holder that is not emphasized in the features.
Did not have to trim shaft and found all fasteners fully tightened. Unit comes fully greased and instructions tell you NOT to add any at setup. Unit is sturdily built, matching its weight. Paint on unit it thick and the welds are all solid and fairly clean. It takes some adjustment to orient the machine correctly on the 3PH and you feel the weight of this thing on the 3PH.
Tested on several stumps, 2 around 2′ diameter. The larger pine was cut down effortlessly while the oak took a tiny bit more time. I spent maybe 10 minutes per stump to do a rough job on them.
As others mentioned the camera is a good idea. I didn’t order one thinking I could buy one later and pay less. Their pricing is about as good as anything I’ve seen for a suitable camera so I should have ordered it with the machine.
I’ve only done several stumps but this thing will work for my needs. I will get my money out of this investment. I am using this for personal use so am not trying to compete with professionals. This thing is quicker than a small rental unit but definitely won’t keep pace with the large commercial machines. The 25hp at my PTO seems adequate for my needs and matched the default clutch measurements. You can probably get by with a less powerful tractor, but imagine some subcompacts may have issues balancing the weight comfortably.
I will give serious consideration to other MechMaxx products, and hope their Flail mowers are built like this.

Very robust machine, prduct manual could use some work.

I ordered this to fit with my New holland Workmaster 40. I have better then 30 stumps to remove. Let me tell you, this stump grinder is a game changer. Once you get the feel, it cuts and grinds the stumps like a hot knife through butter.
I did extensive research before purchasing and there was no comparison price wise and im sure the quality is just as good or better. It took me about an hour and a half for assembly and break in procedures. I ground 9 stumps so far.
MechMaxx has earned a new customer, and I will be making future purchases from them. Thank you Mechmaxx, you all saved an old man from back breaking work!
Matt Slonaker –
Ordered the grinder Sunday after church and unloaded it off the truck Thursday. Everything was as it should be and prestine. Assembly wasnt bad, read the directions unlike me, the bracket on the front has to be flipped, takes 2 minutes, and remove the bolts from the shaft ujoint on the grinder side before trying to install it, very important. Took maybe 15 minutes to assemble, including my mistakes. Drove it straight to a 30″ hard, green cherry stump and went to town. Oh my does this thing eat wood. Strongly reccomend.
Kim R Muir –
I have to say the customer service is outstanding. I’m a customer for life. As you see in the picture it says to start small well, I’m sorry I went big and it ate right through the wood like butter. using it on a L3901 works like a charm. I have lots more to do just waiting for it to dry out on my land.
Ed Smith –
I have been more than pleased. I am amazed at the speed and ease of grinding stumps with my SG24. I have ground over 20 stumps and my grinder still looks and works like new. I am a very pleased customer. I have included a couple of pics of stump I just did today. The customer had cut the part of the tree down that was interfering with their fence so I ground the base of the tree back to the fence. You can see the other part of tree on backside of fence in the pic. It took me approximately 30 minutes to grind all of that. Once again, GREAT grinder. Thanks again for my SG24
James –
Great product and even better customer service! Great overall experience and will do buisness with company again.
Justin –
Very satisfied with this grinder. Arrived quicker than expected. Have done about 15 stumps so far ranging in size from 20inch to 50inch
Jake Cook –
Very happy with the stump grinder on my Kioti CX2510. Delivery was quick and efficient. Email updates throughout delivery kept you informed. Soft wood will take bigger cuts and speeds up overall time. Fresh red oak takes smaller cuts but works excellent. Use the bagger on the lawn mower to pick up the chips. Even comes packaged in a nice crate. I chose to put castors on the base of the crate while grinder isn’t in service. Would happily purchase again.
Brian and Lori B. –
The stump grinder was delivered promptly.
The stump grinder had clear instructions and was easy to put together. The fittings were greased properly. The product is very heavy duty and well built. It works well for the few stumps I was able to grinder. As the snow melts. We plan to put it to good use.
We would give this product 5 stars out of 5.
ANDREW SEAN BULLARD –
This is the first PTO stump grinder I’ve ever used. I had to buy a torque wrench to tighten the teeth on the blade, but that was it. Everything else lined up perfectly. It’s a slow process, but worth it. I’ve grinded about 24 stumps, 10-24 inches. $150 Per stump in my area. It has already paid for itself. This is a great tool and I’m very pleased with it.
Anthony Vasquez –
Worked as advertised and easily chews through stumps from oak to pine.
Steve Urbanik –
Had a problem with shipping but customer service took good care of me on that but the grinder works great, done 20 plus large stumps in my yard. Great piece of equipment. Would recommend buying the camera
Randall Busarow –
Delivery was good, easily assembled, directions were easy to follow. When I cut my first stump I started out small and was surprised how it chewed it up so easily. I have since cut much larger stumps and it did the job well. Good investment.
James Szymborski II –
Shipping was really fast. Waiting for better weather to put it together.
R Busarow –
I purchased this stump grinder for my BX tractor. No problem with assembly and I was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked. There is an obvious learning curve but start slowly and it will come easily. Pictures to come
Shane –
I am really impressed with product, service and price is awesome. I purchased this and received it about a week ago and started using it and it works as good if not better than the high priced ones. I was a little concerned because I watched a lot of videos and most videos from other stump grinders plus this one. I believe with soft wood stumps. I’m actually grinding white oaks which is a hardwood and it works great. If I purchase another attachment, it’s definitely gonna be with this company. No questions. Ask.
Anthony Vasquez –
Better than expected. It eats through stumps easily and smoothly as long as you don’t take too big of a bite. Assembly instructions could be a little more specific but once you get it together, it’s fine. Well built piece of equipment.
Scott Yerigan –
Awesome stump grinder I mounted to my Kubota tractor! This does the job quite efficiently and already tried it out on 5 stumps with no problems! Can’t wait to use it on more stumps and will pay for itself in short order vs hiring out!
Craig Koch –
I purchased this stump grinder and absolutely Love it. I had 4 1/2 acres of 65 year old red pine cut down. It left a lot of big stumps. Was amazed at how fast I went through my first 10 stumps, so I kept going until my wife had to come get me for dinner. I didn’t want to stop!!
I am truly enjoying using this!
Highly recommend purchasing this grinder!
Craig
Ted Neff –
The weather turned cold just after it was delivered, so I haven’t ground any stumps yet, but I am impressed with the build quality. Fits on the quick hitch perfectly, and PTO shaft is exactly the right length. Easy to assemble and everything fit as it should. I left the chainsaw holder off because I have a rack where I carry the saw.
J Acosta –
Got mine just before thanksgiving. Needed to remove.4 large pine stump next to a new garage i had built. It ground through them like a hot knige through butter.
I then tackeled a large poplar stump from 16 years before. I have tried burning it by soaking it with diesel fuel and used motor oil and it charred it but was still solid. I probably should have cut the stump closer to the ground but really wanted to see if the sg24 grinder could handle it. I had to work infrom the sides until i got the height down abit but the grinder never missed a beat and an happy to say that eyesore of a stump is gone!
I would recommend having a spotter or getting the camera since.you really cant see much from the tractor seat. JD1025r handled it well power wise but the front end was kinda light, so use put some ballast in your loader bucket for better steering.
Kurt Drummond –
Definitely worth the money. I have done 10 stumps so far and they have ranged from 20″ to 40″ in diameter and still cutting great in no time at all. Plus I added wheels to the shipping frame that it came in and I can move it around anywhere. I highly recommend this product, very durable and well constructed.
Monica Mintz –
We have used the stump grinder to grind 35 stumps so far from very large to medium sized. This stump grinder made short work of them and was completely effortless. The teeth are still like new and even the paint is unblemished. For us, this was a great purchase at a very reasonable price.
Charles Ray –
I was vary satisfied with my purchase of the stump grinder it worked much better than I had anticipated within the first week of purchase I ground fifty stumps
Clark Schmidt –
