My 32″ sawmill came yesterday. It only took 2 weeks! I live near OKC and the unit shipped from Texas so that helped. Not going to comment on the sawmill yet. It’s been raining for days and will rain all next week so we can’t assemble it yet.
I’d like to comment on the shipping process.
I could not find on this website specific info that would have helped in preparing for the unit’s arrival. So here it is for others to use.
I purchased the works: 20′ sawmill, platform stand and trailer, plus other accessories needed. The total weight of this purchase was in excess of 1,800 lbs. It arrived in two plywood crates, 90 inches long, one roughly 2 1/2 feet square, the other 2 feet square. These crates were stacked on top of each other, both had square “feet” to permit individual forklifting and they’re steel banded on top of and to two 4×4′ pallets.
I paid $85 extra for a lift bed truck. I live in the country on a gravel road. There is no place for a 48′ semi truck to turn around. There is an asphalt road about 100 yards from where I live and a convenient truck turn off.
To avoid the truck driver having to drive on a muddy country road, we chose to have him park on the turnoff and move the unit to my property ourselves. Up until delivery, I did not have a clear picture of what was coming.
The two crates containing the sawmill were very professionally built. However placing both on top of two individual pallets became a big problem. Even though the driver had a pallet lift in his truck, he could not move the shipment onto his lift bed because he couldn’t latch on to both pallets together. So we had to loop tow straps to the pallets and drag them onto the lift bed. This broke up one of the pallets. As the lift bed lowered, the load almost rocked off the lift. The weight was almost too much. We then used a tractor with forklifts to move each unit. I suggest MechMaxx build a single heavy duty pallet or ship as 2 unit loads. Hope this helps.

I just purchased the SM-32 and realized the 5% off code I had did not register on final payment. I emailed customer support and they honored the code through email and issued the 5% refund back to my card.. so 5 stars for customer support so far. I can’t wait to get the milk up and running!

Nice machine. Day one 6-8 hrs setup. Started day two and ran small cedar logs and 29” Poplar log. I been using a 076av 42” and 029av 18” chainsaw mills. This is 30x faster and little effort. A kid could run this. Better cost of operation too. Nice cut finish.
Going to order extra clamp supports. Several extra punch mounting holes. Wish they sold the Red Cross log supports. I would put more in for smaller length size logs.

Looks great. It came fast. All the parts were there. Packed up very well. Toke a day to get it set up but I wasn’t in a hurry. Can’t wait to try it.
Donald Goins –
I am very happy with my SM 32 mill wish I had bought it sooner very good quality have had it about two months now have sawn around 2000 board foot with it
Seth Graham –
Very pleased with the quality of this machine! Controls are very user-friendly. Overall I think this is a great product and we highly recommend!
Julie and Josh Norton –
This is a great machine. Heavy built. Worth the money. Good investment.
Nathan Anderson –
Very impressed. I’ve run a smaller mill for a couple years, so I know a wee bit. I was blown away by how beefy this thing is. The 32 is over a thousand pounds. The written directions are good, and the video instructions were good. This thing can be fine tuned on just about every aspect. I spent an inordinate amount of time making sure every last thing was exactly right. Perfectly level. Exactly straight. Works like a dream once all the details are tuned in. I can cut a log into lumber in about a quarter the time it took on my old, much smaller mill. Don’t waste time on a smaller mill. Get this or the 36. YouTube review coming soon.

This is a great mill. We have planked out around 100 board feet so far with it and have had no problems. Working now on a black walnut for our kitchen table.
Great for the price.

Had my mill a month now. And after some learning about tuning. Wow!! I wasn’t sure at first, but this thing will pay for itself in no time. I’ve re-decked my stock trailer with white oak for under $50.
I’ve also already cut and sold slabs
So far I have cut white oak, red oak, elm and cedar.
Hackberry is up next!!
Also customer support has been extremely responsive since I have made my purchase. My battery was damaged during shipping and they promptly took care of the problem. They have been very welcoming of my suggestions for future design improvements. Can’t say enough.
Josh Robertson –
Got mine yesterday. It shipped and was delivered very quickly. I hope to be able to put it together this weekend.
Pat Shaver –
How well it works I know I made the right choice for the money! I simply couldn’t be happier. Absolutely the best mill I could have bought. Easy to set up, cuts beautifully, and a lot of fun to use.

The list of competition nods to the MechMaxx Sawmills are endless: More power, Longer tracks, Wider log capabilities, Better Company to deal with, and all of that for an up matched price point. Simply can’t go wrong with choosing MechMaxx as your product or choice. Check out @SeriouslyStumpd on YouTube for product reviews that I have tested.
Michael P –
Have had this mill for 3 months or so and has been one of the most satisfying thing I’ve ever done. Taking logs and turning them into personal projects. The amount of money you save on lumber alone is worth its weight in gold.
Aaron Frano –
The sawmill arrived sooner than expected. It was well crated with excellent assembly instructions. The craftsmanship was excellent. Experienced no problems at all with the assembly and use of the sawmill. I was impressed with the quality of the sawmill. Simple to assemble, adjust, and use! I would recommend it to anyone who appreciates good equipment.
Jack F –
I have not cut a lot of wood with it yet but so far I am very pleased with the quality of this mill.
Steve Petras –
The key for me is the price/performance ratio. It is well made and cheaper than other brands. I have milled probably 40 logs so far. It works great and is very easy to use. The electric start is a big plus. I would not go for the manual/pull start.
Steve Billak –
The sawmill is well made and runs perfectly. I’m glad I made the investment.
James D –
Used one time so far very pleased. This has been the best addition to my woodworking equipment!
Walt Shaw –
The SM32 is very well put together and more heavy duty than I expected. I don’t think I would ever trust another brand of machine.
